There are several peptides, especially the synthetic analog peptides, which have been studied in a wide range of treatments in laboratory settings. These tests have been done on a range of different animals and in vivo experiments on cells that have shown amazing and diverse results. These Melanotan ll before and after experiments have given researchers a greater understanding of how the natural melanocortin peptide works and why increasing the amount of it in research studies has such profound and measurable results.

Long Lab History

Although Melanotan ll before and after experiments in the lab have been going on since the peptides first developing n the labs at the University of Arizona, researchers continue to find new value for these synthetic peptides. While they were originally created to find ways to help cells to produce pigment cells to prevent skin cancer, this has now expanded to a range of different beneficial results in the lab.

The early tests were very conclusive in showing that in vivo and in in vitro testing in lab animals, typically rats or mice, showed an increase in the dark pigment, the UV resistant pigment, in research. In addition the use of the synthetic peptide, both Melanotan ll before and after long term use, actually prolonged the increased production of the darker cells, increasing the effectiveness over the naturally occurring melanocortin peptide.

Recent Work

In recent studies with mice and rats it was discovered the injections of Melanotan ll before and after blood pressure testing and testing of nerve responses showed a marked change. After injection there was an increase in sympathetic nerve activity in brown fat tissue, especially in strains of mice that were bred to be obese. This may provide to a strong component in the use of Melanotan ll in fatty tissue loss even in strains of rats and mice that are predisposed to rapid weight gain.

Interestingly enough this same result also demonstrated that the presence of Melanotan ll in the rats decreased food intake, which was considered by the researchers to be a long term effect.

The results from Melanotan ll before and after experiments definitely demonstrate that this synthetic peptide offers a range of different options for possible treatment of a variety of issues in laboratory rats and mice.
