Renting your own apartment as a student means that you have the peace of mind of avoiding a long-term lease. Generally speaking, the lease will be up at the end of the school year. This means you are free to move if you so choose, or you can stay where you are and enjoy the same abode during your entire college career.

Speaking of staying put, most students do not take into consideration that they will have to vacate the campus during the holiday breaks. This can be incredibly inconvenient if you have no nearby family with whom to stay or you have a job that you still need to go to. When you rent a student apartment, you can stay as long as your lease is for and even beyond that if you sign a new lease.
Life Experience
It is very important to learn how the “real world” works in your young adult years. However, this is very difficult to do when you live in a rules-laden dormitory. When you live in student housing in Tallahassee, you make your own rules and are responsible for your own consequences.
