There are 3 primary islands to go to within the US Virgin Islands; St. John, St. Croix, and St. Thomas.  Also, there’s the small and fascinating Water Island.

St. Thomas
It’s the most popular cruise port within the Caribbean. St. Thomas includes the home of Charlotte Amalie. It’s the US Virgin Islands’ capital.  It’s both the location island’s airport and principle cruise terminal.

St. Croix
It’s the biggest of the US Virgin Islands at 82 sq. mi. in area.  It comprises of 2 distinct towns; Frederiksted and Christiansted. The historic interest and architectural quality of the 1-time Danish West Indies capital made a portion of Christiansted, a National Historic Site that was founded in the year 1734.

St. John
Mainly, St. John is a United States National Park. It provides amazing vantages of nature within the Caribbean.  Friends of the National Park will volunteer staff an information kiosk upon St. John Island. It’s an excellent place to begin your visit of the island.

Water Island
It’s the smallest of the United States Virgin Islands at less than 1.3 sq. mi. Water Island is just a brief ten-minute ferry ride from the island of St. Thomas. If you are searching for something more than shopping, you’ll find it here.  To assist you in getting around the Island golf carts are available to be rented right off of the ferry.

Some things which may be done within the US Virgin Islands involve scuba diving, sailing, water skiing, skin diving, and additional water sports.  Some newer attractions such as zip lining also are available. Taking in some golf or horseback riding also are options if time permits.  If staying the night, take some time to appreciate the nightlife.
